Correlation Between Weight and Nutrition

Throughout my childhood years, I was not in the best physical condition. I ate what I wanted without any thought of regret and I barely got any physical exercise. I had no idea what a food label was, and I didn't care about learning about it at all. That led to my ultimate downfall. I had to deal with childhood obesity, and the memories revolving around it will remain with me for a long period of time. Whether it was not being to catch up in my physical exercise classes, or being harassed during school, I ceased to be happy unless I was in the comfort of my own home where nobody could judge me. If I had learned more about nutritional information as a youngster, I guarantee that I wouldn't have had to endure the anxiety and sadness as a child.
On a food label, there are a various amount of things that should be looked at to ensure a healthy lifestyle. It is preferable to have a meal that is nutritional all around and not only in one aspect of the food. For example, near the top of the food label you will see the word, "Calories". Calories are a unit of energy, which fuels your body to make it through the day. If the intake of calories is a large amount and exercise is not performed, those units of energy will eventually turn into fat. It is good to endure at least an hour of physical activity daily to keep the body in shape. Below the "Calories" section, one may observe the section entitled, "Total Fat". This portrays how many grams of fat the food you are choosing to eat contains. If the level of exercise you commit to will not be able to burn off that fat eventually, then it is suggested to not partake in eating it. If the food item you are eating is high in sodium, then it is not advised to eat much of it because a large sodium intake can lead to heart disease over time. It is important to observe how many grams of Carbohydrates there are in the food you're eating. An influx of carbs isn't the best thing to have in a meal because carbs turn into sugar, then ultimately turns to fat. If your physical activity is not where it should be, then you should avoid the amount of carbs you intake. It is important to have a meal that is generally a good source of potassium and protein. Both of these necessities are located in the label,so it is important to look for them. Also, a meal high in sugar can ultimately lead to diabetes if eaten consistently without eating any healthy foods or performing any type of exercise.
Eating isa necessity of life, but eating the wrong type of food can lead to your ultimate downfall. It did during my childhood, and I wish I could go back in time and do something about it. Don't make the same mistake I did. A lot of exercise will result in a larger appetite because of the lack of calories within your body. Watch what you eat and perform a lot of exercise to ensure a healthy lifestyle for the remainder of your time on this Earth. It is never too late!
